Day 2 - Tuesday December 7th 2010

On our second day Elijah and I suddenly realized that we didn't have any plans at all for our trip and so we got out the maps and other doodads and started ferociously planning. It took us a good while to do research and figure all kinds of amazing things out about the countries we were going to but eventually we finished and yelped in celebration. We then traveled to la Plaza de Cervantes in Alcala so show lijah the lay of the land. To our surprise there was an old timey festival going on randomly in the plaza! yippee we screamed and skipped toward it like two crazed badgers. It was glorious, they had meats and eats and all kinds of treats! We saw the live nativity scene with all manner of animals and we ate some churros con chocolate and some colorful sugary dulcet candy and some odd bread fish/chicken calzone like thing! We had a grand old time! We even saw the giant Christmas tree and walked down the call mejor! It was oh so special. We walked home and ate some amazing stew that Maria cooked us and then we passed out in our room.
